Coral Gables is one of Miami’s most architecturally significant neighborhoods — known for its Mediterranean Revival homes, tree-lined streets, historic landmarks, and consistently high property values. Venetian plaster is a natural fit for this aesthetic. It adds Old World elegance and warmth while providing durability in Miami’s humid climate.
For homeowners in Coral Gables, Venetian plaster offers something no paint or wallpaper can: a hand-crafted, timeless finish that complements the neighborhood’s Mediterranean character. Whether you live in a 1920s estate near the Biltmore or a modern home in Gables Estates, Venetian plaster elevates the interior in a way that respects both history and contemporary design.
Exotic Wall Finishes has been applying Venetian plaster in Coral Gables since 2015. Our founder, Gian Carlo Sagasti, is a Novacolor Global Ambassador (2017) and has been working with Italian lime plasters since 2003.
Coral Gables is home to one of the largest concentrations of Mediterranean Revival architecture in the United States. Venetian plaster — with its Italian roots and polished, marble-like finish — harmonizes perfectly with this style. It’s the historically appropriate choice for Mediterranean homes.
Coral Gables’ lush landscaping, mature trees, and proximity to the bay mean higher-than-average humidity. Venetian plaster is breathable and mold-resistant — ideal for this environment.
For historic homes in Coral Gables, Venetian plaster is an appropriate choice. It respects the original materials and design intent. It can be used in renovations without compromising the character of the property.
Coral Gables homeowners value craftsmanship and timeless design. Venetian plaster delivers both. It’s a finish that reads as luxurious today and will continue to read that way in 20 years.
In Coral Gables’ competitive real estate market, high-end finishes are a differentiator. Venetian plaster communicates craftsmanship and quality — and can support higher asking prices.
