Seamless microcement is a composite of fine hydraulic cement, quartz aggregates, and water-based polymer resins; it cures through hydration and polymer cross-linking, forming a flexible, abrasion-resistant barrier. Italian lime wash is high-calcium lime putty diluted with water and natural earth pigments, forming a thin, breathable, chalky mineral layer over porous surfaces.

Water Resistance & Wetroom Suitability

Microcement is 100% waterproof and continuous, making it the choice for walk-in shower stalls, wetroom floors, bathtubs, and vanity countertops; sealed with polyurethane topcoats it forms a joint-free waterproof barrier. Venetian plaster and Marmorino are naturally mold-resistant and breathable due to their high alkalinity. Treated with Marseille olive oil soap or hydrophobic beeswax they withstand bathroom humidity and splash zones on accent walls, but they are not intended for continuous standing water inside shower basins.
